Week 8 and 3 yr Anniversary-Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is both week 8 of our pregnancy, and officially our 3 year wedding anniversary. I can't believe we have been married for three years already and that we are expecting baby #2! I have had quite a bit nausea this go round and for some odd reason don't seem to be sleeping well at night. I am trying to stay active and positive about it all, and that seems to help just a bit. Today Isaac and I went to Chilis and had lunch together, we acyually called it a date. :-) He's my little lovebug. Arie is working late and needs to study for his exam coming up in two weeks. Not sure we will do much for our anniversary, but it's just nice to take the day to be thankful for all that we have, especially each other. Well, hope all is well for everyone, will write again soon.

Week 8 Update (Kidney Bean):

Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, his eyelids practically cover his eyes, breathing tubes extend from his throat to the branches of his developing lungs, and his "tail" is just about gone. In his brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. You may be daydreaming about your baby as one sex or the other, but the external genitals still haven't developed enough to reveal whether you're having a boy or a girl. Either way, your baby — about the size of a kidney bean — is constantly moving and shifting, though you still can't feel it.

Isaac's Pic

Isaac would like me to add a pic of him to the blog. LOL. Even though that it's not the most current pic, I felt it would be nice to feature our baby #1, Isaac. hehehe. This is Isaac at 4 1/2 months, he picked out the pic! (Such a big boy these days!)

Midwives

We are currently in search of our perfect midwife. I am looking for someone that is knowledgeable, yet hands-off. I prefer to have Arie catch our baby and to have our midwife there for support if necessary. We are still debating between homebirth or birth center birth, which will prob come down to cost. I need to call our insurance provider to determine the price differences, although we already know it will cost a bit more than going with a doctor. Regardless of cost, we know that having our baby in a safe and comfortable environment will be better for all of us. So, goodbye Starbucks and extra trips to Target (and maybe even cable tv?), we will be seeing you after we have this little one. :-) Monday we have an appt with Reunion Birth Center in Kingwood, TX. From the looks of it online, I think we will love it! www.reunionmidwives.com

HypnoBirthing

As most of you know I teach HypnoBirthing. I used the HB techniques during the birth of our son, Isaac. I had the most amazing birth (didn't even feel my surges from 6-10cm) and can't recommend it enough. I look forward to teaching many classes during this pregnancy and to using the techniques again.

Week 7, Baby #2

So, we are officially seven weeks pregnant and can't be more excited! This pregnancy wasn't planned but by no way was this an accident. We look forward to having our little one here in early February or around there and look forward to lots of kisses and snuggles. I thought strating a blog would be a good way to keep in touch with everyone (especially since you know I like sending out tons of emails while pregnant)! hehehehe. Anyhow, I will try to post pics, videos, and updates often. We love you, talk soon.
